Welcome! We are pleased to meet you. My name is Stephanie Davis, along side of me is my husband Josh and our daughter Riley Mae. The three of us were all born and raised in Vermont. This is where Josh and I realized that we wanted to settle and pant our roots on our small 5 acre farm. We are first generation beekeepers' and poultry rising lovers. We recently added Boer goats to our journey and are excited to take you along our journey. We love our animals and our goal is to be more self sufficient with the hope to be able to provide for you.
Our daughter, Riley enjoys the farm life, tending to the gardening’s, helping collect chicken eggs, walking by our one of many apiaries to go close up our local farm stand. Lastly, Riley enjoys pulling into the driveway seeing her goats and saying, “Hi girls” as she waves to them. Riley also helped me, build a tulip garden along with a perennial bed garden.
People ask us all the time how we got into bee’s. We all know bees can be intimidating and even deadly. It takes a mental preparation to know that you WILL get stung and it will be ok. Clearly we have had to learn this over the years.
How our story all began. Josh wanted to ask my father for my hand in marriage. My dad had a couple of bee hives at his home that he recently started as a hobby. My dad asked Josh if he wanted to learn about bees. Josh said yes as he was happy to be alone to ask "The BIG Question". What Josh did not know, was he also find an interest and passion when it came to bees. Josh got approval from my father, and he grew a wealth of knowledge and passion for honey bees.
We started our business in 2018 with two nucleus colonies in the backseat of our Chrysler 200 vehicle. Scared and hoping we will make it home before the hundreds of bees, found a hole big enough to crawl out of. Josh said he felt like he was playing russian roulette with pot holes the whole way home. Now in the year, 2021. We are proud to say that we just winterized over 100 beehives, in several apiary locations here in the beautiful state we call the Green Mountains, in Vermont.

Are you new to beekeeping? When should I add more boxes? Why don’t I see new brood laid out? What would cause my hives to die? How many boxes do you need to start out? How do you overwinter them?
These are questions I asked myself when I started beekeeping, and I know you're probably asking yourself these same questions.
Check out our availability and book the date and time that works for you. Reminder time zone is Eastern Mountain Time
